"Here's the deal... I make the babies and you kill the bugs. Got it?"
Hi All! I am now 29 weeks and just had our shower for the girls. I can't believe how fast the pregnancy is going. Holy Cow our kids are spoiled. The shower was put on by our family and they did such a great job! I am so grateful for all the gifts we got for the girls. We truly got showered with many gifts. I am also so excited to post all the pictures from the shower. It was just too cute! I loved the colors scheme since it is the same colors for the girls nursery (that post will come soon).
Before I start the photos wanted to give you some stats:
Gestation: 29 weeks
Weight Gain: 31 lbs (holy freaking cow!!!!!!)
Shoe Size: Steady at a size 8
Stretch Marks: NONE! (how? I don't know... but I'm cool with it!)
Belly button: Flat
Position of Babes: Baby A is breech (standing up and down) Baby B is lying transverse across by belly (but the heads are together).
Cravings: Corn on the Cob, peanut butter, Cherries, Swedish Fish (yes this is random...)

OK now on to the fun stuff! The Shower Details!
The theme of the shower came from the beautiful invite. The invite was made by my sister-in-law who has a stationary company called OliveINK. I have attached her website below the image of the invite! Please take a look! She makes the cutest things!!

Here are pictures from the shower and some of the details! Enjoy!
Twin A and Twin B are made out of Watermelons. The wheels are made out of sliced grapefruits and the heads are a cantaloupe and some blueberries!
Pictured below are the cake pops and cookies. The cake pops are flavored lemon, carrot cake (my fav) and chocolate. They are from a local store in my mother-in-law's home town Findlay OH. The cookies are decorated with 2 peas in a pod, baby bottles, baby onesies, some cute little booties!!!

All the guests had a chance to to be crafty and make head bands for the babies. The table was set up with all the supplies. In the frame is says "Make The Twinkies A Headband or Two!" Super cute! The guests then displayed the finished product by hanging them on clothing pins. The supplies for the headbands are from local craft store like Hobby Lobby. |
The adorable diaper cake! I have never seen one this big before. I love the little purple sparkle hearts. They are fairy wands. I just see the twins hitting each other with them (#eviltwins?) I am sure they are going to be super nice to each other!
I am still going through all the items in the nursery and sorting and starting to wash some clothing. We don't have the cribs or anything else set up. I will wait until I have hit at least 32 weeks before Matt and I start that project. At some point in the future I am going to do a blog about the most useful baby things I received just to help other preggos out there narrow down that baby registry. Until then I am going to go snack on some swedish fish. PEACE!
